Today, I discovered a wonder. In attempt to colour my locks, I used hartley's jelly; odd, I know. I saw an american blogger do it, but realised that in America, artificial colour are more frequently apparent to food.
I boiled down the jelly, left it to cool a little, and then, well, just stuck my head in the bowl really. I stayed there for an hour and then rinsed it (I washed my hair before leaving it damp in the jelly compound and as I rinsed it out I used no shampoo or conditioner, although conditioner I would recommended).
My locks were still, unfortunately, brunette, but... Magic happened.
I dried my hair. It dried very fast.. No frizz. Hm, okay. I usually have dry and frizzy hair that is so hard to control, thick, frizzy, dry and takes forever to dry. It dried in about 20 minutes as opposed to the usual hour... It came out silky, and although no colour was promenant, I was left with beautiful brassy tones and vibrancy. It's super soft and there's no knots present. This is brilliant!!
My hair appears shinier, softer, voluminous, and easy to manage. If only I could do this every wash! My hair appears healthier overall!
I've been trying to grow my hair for four years (it just won't GROW!!) and I'm secretly hoping it increases growth! Will be back with more updates soon. Try it yourself if you get a chance!
